GCADV is pleased to announce our 2022 Reading Group, facilitated by Jennifer Thomas, Director of Strategic Partnerships with CJCC, Karla Russell, Administrative Coordinator with GCADV, and Alexis Champion, Director of Training and Capacity Building with GCADV. We will be reading Brené Brown’s book, Atlas of the Heart, and sharing discussion questions with attendees to guide the group conversation.

The past two-plus years has brought many challenges and stressors, and the pandemic has forced us to disconnect in many ways. As Brené Brown says, “If we want to find the way back to ourselves and one another, we need language and the grounded confidence to both tell our stories and be stewards of the stories that we hear. This is the framework for meaningful conversations.” By reading this book together and sharing our thoughts, we hope to create space for all of us for healing, growth, and emotional connection – not just in our relationships with survivors, but also with each other and in our personal lives.
