Children exposed to domestic violence often experience trauma that can deeply impact their emotional, cognitive, and physical development, For Advocates working with children, recognizing and responding to these effects is critical in promoting healing and long-term resilience.
Join us for an interactive training to explore how trauma, particularly in the context of domestic violence, affects children across developmental stages—from infancy through adolescence. Through this training attendees will:
Identify the stages of development and recognize typical versus atypical behavior in children and adolescences.
Describe trauma and how it impacts the development of children and adolescences
Apply effective strategies when serving families that have been exposed to domestic violence
