 This 2-day training series provides comprehensive, interactive training lessons designed to increase competence about sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression (SOGIE), while providing advocates with increased knowledge, tools, and resources for working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people in your programs. It will also increase advocates’ capacity to understand bias and stigma related to (SOGIE), and their impact on the well-being of LGBTQ survivors navigating the DV services system.

 

·        Define terms associated with LGBTQIA identities
·      Describe the impact of bias and oppression on LGBTQIA survivors of color
·      Describe issues and challenges that LGBTQIA survivors may face
·        Coming Out Process
